- Suitable for larger power boats, yachts and catamarans
Make your own fresh water wherever you drop anchor.
Built for boat owners who prefer a straightforward, hands-on system, the Stella Gen 4 focuses on robust
mechanical controls. It’s an easy-to-use, space-saving solution that delivers high-output desalination stripped
back to the essentials.

Designed for performance and reliability, our systems are built using premium, non-proprietary components that you can easily source worldwide.
From our high-pressure pumps to our fittings, all metal components are marine-grade 316 stainless steel or Duplex alloy. This robust, simple design completely eliminates weak points, creating an incredibly reliable system built for harsh saltwater environments.
We completely eliminate plastic membrane housing end caps, which are notorious for cracking and causing dangerous, high-pressure leaks. Instead, we use precision-machined Duplex 2205 stainless steel for ultimate structural strength and corrosion resistance.
We don’t use complicated energy recovery pumps that rely on failure prone o-rings and poppet valves. We use industry-standard 316SS triplex pumps with solid ceramic plungers. They require less maintenance, and parts are readily available worldwide.
To prevent the splitting and bursting caused by engine vibration, we use premium high-pressure hoses with 316SS fittings. Each hose is shielded with an anti-wear protective wrap to prevent chafing and extend its operational lifespan.
All watermaker membranes require a freshwater flush after every use, followed by a routine flush every 7 days if the system is not pickled for long-term storage. Neglecting this maintenance cycle can lead to irreversible membrane damage.
Our optional Autoflush system simplifies this process, making it significantly easier to maintain your watermaker when you are away from the vessel or not producing water weekly.
All the consumables you need for 6-12 months of cruising (depending on usage).

Beyond supplying premium equipment, our marine engineering division provides complete
installation, commissioning, and maintenance services if you require it.
For DIY boat owners, builders, or contractors, each unit includes a comprehensive 30-page
Installation & Operation Manual. This step-by-step guide features clear component diagrams
and an easy-to-understand system flow diagram, simplifying the setup process while
providing detailed procedures for long-term operation and maintenance.
Select the ideal drive system to suit your vessel’s existing layout and power configuration.
For larger powerboats, yachts, and catamarans equipped with a suitable AC generator. Our most popular option, which is easy to install and delivers rapid, high-volume water production.
For all marine vessels without a Genset, but with an inboard engine. This configuration is an efficient and reliable way to make lots of water fast.
What sets Stella Watermakers apart is the decade of marine engineering experience that predated our very first design concept. Established as a marine engineering company in 2003, the Stella team spent years operating, servicing, selling, and installing every major brand of watermaker. This extensive, hands-on foundation gave us the insights needed to build a superior system – one engineered to require less servicing, remain simple to operate, and work without fail exactly when you need it to.
Since 2011, Stella has been manufacturing the industry’s best compact desalination systems for both marine and land applications. By combining mechanical simplicity with premium components, we build reliable systems that deliver genuine value, uncompromised performance, and peace of mind on the water.
